The Best of Buenos Aires... Complot!

After months and months of South American countryside, jungle and mountains, I was happy to finally be back in a city! Buenos Aires! This was the city I'd been looking forward to the most. Everyone I'd met that had been there said it was their favourite place so far and that the two weeks I had booked there still wouldn't be enough time to do everything the city has to offer!

But more importantly, I was looking forward to seeing what the clothes shops were like and lets just say I was not disappointed. Complot was one of the first shops I found. Argentina's answer to Topshop, but for a cheaper price. Here are my favourite pieces available from the online shop!

Get the look - Ecuador!

It would be silly of me to be posting exactly the same as if I was still in England and not take advantage of all the culture and inspiration around me that I will most likely never experience again. So today my style crush is the country I´m currently in - Ecuador! 

The Ecuadorians womens traditional dress is closest to the Inca clothing than any other area of the Andes. Lashings of gold and beads are layered over loose blouses and shawls.

Urban Outfitters Sun + Sky Lookbook

 I think the letters that best describe the noise I made when I first stumbled across this lookbook was 'urrrhhhaaa.' Offically obsessed!!!

I´ve been looking for clothes like these for YEARS. Two years and eleven months to be exact, which was when I saw Vanessa Hudgens at the 2011 Coachella festival in that outfit. That crochet flower top and cut off shorts had me scouring the internet for days for similar tops and now, finally, nearly 3 months later, I´ve found not only the Vanessa top I´ve been dreaming about, but other incredible crochet and festival/beach inspired pieces. They can be worn casual or smart, in winter and in summer, to a special occasion or just shopping. They look good in any colour, material, print and on any body type, but most importantly, they´re so comfy!!

Somewhere on the other side of the world..

Ive recently embarked on a 7 month adventure round the other side of the world with my boyfriend Richard.

What started off as jokey 'what ifs' rapidly turned into life changing plans that meant we were both to postpone our lives for a year. 

We've started off with two months in Costa Rica, working at a small boutique hotel in a small town on the Caribbean coast called Puerto Viejo. It's absolutely full of hippies and reggae and the smell of weed constantly fills the air wherever you go. It seems to be the way of life!

My biggest issue I had planning the trip was what clothes to bring. I only had one small rucksack for seven months. It was painful, it took time and tears but I finally managed to choose just a few tops, a couple of shorts, a dress and a jumpsuit. 

If I was to post a new outfit every day, I would run out of outfits in a matter of weeks so hopefully I can spread them apart and challenge myself to create good mixes and matches of the items I've brought with me!

Boohoo traveler collection

So, I was on the phone to my mum the other day, chatting away about plans for the weekend, when suddenly I had to tell her to stop talking and wait a minute. Maybe I was over reacting at what I saw, maybe I was just being a drama queen (as my mum would say), but I had to stop what I was doing when I saw the latest boohoo advert on TV. 

The Aztec prints on models trawling through the desert caught my eye right away. I love this print!! Or any print really for that matter. But to see it all together in one 'geo traveler' collection was something else. The bright colours and prints in a stripe pattern have such an exotic holiday feel. But not in a touristy way, in a real traveler way. Fab!
